Welcome to Grace Notes Academy

At Grace Notes, we are dedicated to helping parents prepare their children for whatever their calling may be in life.  We believe that a well-rounded education, one that encompasses not only academic subjects but also fine arts and social graces, is a vital part of any child's preparation for their future.  Our primary focus is providing excellent, affordable courses for homeschoolers, as well as private piano lessons.

I will not be offering summer courses this year.  I need to focus on getting ready for the teaching load next fall.  I hope to see all of you again!

We are pleased to announce that our science courses will continue to be offered this year through One Day Academy, at two convenient campuses.  We have revamped our elementary scope and sequence.  Each year, Mrs. Cole will teach comprehensive science courses aimed at 3rd-6th grade, using Bob Jones curriculum as the spine text.  Each course is meant to provide a full credit in science.  Students will have reading and homework assignments throughout the week.  On class day, we will go over the material, conduct experiments, enjoy interesting activities, and occasionally watch high-quality movies to help reinforce the reading that was done throughout the week. 

I will be offering Biology I, Chemistry I, and General Science through One Day Academy. 

Private Piano Lessons

Grace Notes will continue offering private piano lessons under Marie Cole.  Mrs. Cole emphasizes excellence, no matter what level of skill the student has achieved.  It is not enough to merely play the correct notes, but artistry is what makes music beautiful!  From the very first lesson, each student is coached to focus on technical aspects such as rhythm, melody and phrasing.  Students progress at their own pace.  All students will participate in recital at the end of each semester.  In addition, we offer occasional nursing home and other concerts designed to help students share their developing musical ability with others. 

NEW!  Renee Cole will begin accepting beginner piano students in June.  Renee has been playing classical piano for eight years.  She has played many times at church as well as participated in many recitals and competitions.  Renee is continuing her studies under Pat Dolan, who is the accompanist for the Christian Choral Society of Austin.

We are currently accepting only beginner students and have room for only a few.  Please contact us for availability.
